Full Job Description
TeBock’s Landscape is a new and growing business in the Des Moines, Iowa area. We provide landscape installation, maintenance, and some lawn care contracts throughout the Des Moines metro and central Iowa. We are looking for a landscape crew leader to help grow our business. This person will be responsible for the growth of the landscape installation division and will ensure the landscape jobs are built to plan and constructed with detail in mind. We are looking for an individual who shows passion and has the willingness to be a part of a growing business. This job has the potential to grow as the business grows.
TeBock’s Landscape offers installation of retaining walls, paver patios, flower, tree and shrub plantings, mulching, rocking, firepit installation, and many other landscape features. The job requires physical labor including using wheelbarrows to move dirt and rock, digging of holes for trees and flowers, lifting blocks which are more than 50 pounds, repetitive tasks such as brick laying, and the job is outside in both cold and hot/humid environments.
The ideal candidate will have five+ years of previous landscaping experience but candidates with three+ years’ experience will also be considered. Applicants with less than three years of experience will not be considered for this position. We are willing to train the right individual who has strong work ethic, passion for landscaping, and wants to be a part of a growing business.
This job will be considered a seasonal position and no work will be completed during the winter months or on rain days. The typical work week is generally 40 hours but can vary above or below. Our crews are generally off early on Fridays.
Candidates must be able to drive truck and trailer as well as jobsite equipment such as skid steer and mini excavator. A driving record check will be required. Other tools generally used on landscape site include paver saw, transit, sod cutter, edger, etc. The ideal candidate will be able to use all tools on jobsite in a safe and efficient manner. Unsafe work by any employee of TeBock’s Landscape is subject to disciplinary action and/or termination.

We provide landscape installation, landscape maintenance, and lawn care services throughout the Des Moines metro and central Iowa. We are looking for a lawncare and landscape technician to help grow our business. This person will be responsible for daily labor in our lawncare and landscape maintenance division and will ensure the contracted properties are kept in immaculate condition for our customers. We are looking for an individual who shows passion and has the willingness to be part of a growing business. This job has the potential to grow as the business grows.
TeBock’s Landscape offers fertilizer, chemical, seeding, topdressing, and aerating services for lawns, as well as mowing and trimming services. We also offer landscape maintenance including weeding, mulching, shrub trimming, and small tree trimming. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat & cold.
The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of previous lawncare experience. Candidates with no previous lawn experience will not be considered. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, passion for landscaping and lawncare, and desire to be a part of a growing business. The candidate must have a state of Iowa applicator’s license to apply pesticides in the state of Iowa. A valid Iowa driver’s license & clean driving record is also required as well as the ability to drive a truck with a trailer. A driving record check will be required. Candidates must be able to operate equipment including but not limited to: Zsprayer, aerators, seeders, sprayers, wheelbarrows, trimmers, mowers, various hand tools. The ideal candidate will be able to use all tools on the jobsite in a safe and efficient manner.
This job will be considered a full-time year-round position. To receive winter pay, the applicant must be available to work completing both residential and commercial snow removal projects. The typical work week is approximately 40 hours but can vary. The applicant must be able to travel to our yard based in Elkhart, IA conveniently located right off interstate 35 just north of Ankeny.
