Paver Patio Restoration in Des Moines, IA

Your Patio Doesn't Need to Be Replaced. It Needs to Be Brought Back.

A paver patio that’s sunk in one corner, gone green in the shade, or lost its color and its joint sand is usually a patio worth saving. At Tebock’s Landscape, we restore, clean and seal paver patios across the Des Moines metro, and it doesn’t matter who installed it. If we didn’t build yours, we can still make it look like it was finished last month.

What Our Restoration Work Covers

Hot Water Pressure Cleaning

Hot water and a surface cleaner lift years of dirt, algae and mildew out of the paver face without chewing up the stone the way a bare wand on high pressure does. The color that comes back is the color you paid for.

Commercial-Grade Cleaners and Sealers

We use contractor-grade cleaners for the stains a pressure washer alone won’t move, then seal with a commercial sealer that protects the surface, holds the joint sand in place and makes the next cleaning easier.

New Polymeric Joint Sand

Once the joints are clean and dry, we refill them with polymeric sand and set it. Tight joints are what keep weeds out, keep ants from tunneling, and keep the pavers from shifting under foot.

Repairing Sunken Pavers

Low spots are a base problem, not a paver problem. We lift the sunken pavers, rebuild and compact the base under them, and relay the same stone so the repair disappears. If the base is wrong everywhere, it’s a rebuild, and we’ll tell you that plainly instead of selling you a patch.

Correcting Water Pooling and Drainage

Water sitting on a patio after rain is how it sank in the first place. We reset the slope where it’s off and fix where the water is supposed to go, so the repair lasts.

Restore It, Repair It, or Rebuild It?

Most patios need a cleaning, new joint sand and a seal. Some need a section lifted and relaid first. A few were built on a base that was never right, and those are rebuilds. We don’t decide from the driveway. We walk the patio, check the low spots and the joints, and tell you which one it actually is. If the answer is smaller than you feared, we’ll say so.

Fall is the best time for this work. The pavers are dry, the heat is gone, and a sealed patio goes into an Iowa winter with its joints locked and its surface protected against freeze and thaw.
